Parents of teenage victim in police shooting settle claim against the City of Chandler

On June 24, 2021 the Chandler City Council approved a $1,125,000.00 cash settlement to the parents of 17-year-old Anthony Cano, who was shot and killed by a Chandler police officer in January 2021.

On June 24, 2021 the Chandler City Council approved a $1,125,000.00 cash settlement to the parents of 17-year-old Anthony Cano, who was shot and killed by a Chandler police officer in January 2021.

Kelly & Lyons represented the victim’s father on the claim, which was settled without the necessity of filing a lawsuit. Anthony Cano’s mother and father received $1 million and $125,000 respectively.
